Approach

Entering a therapeutic relationship takes real strength and courage. I do not take this lightly. With my clients I take a respectful and collaborative approach maintaining that my clients are the experts of their experience. I am deeply curious, direct, and value humor and being playful when appropriate.

My approach is rooted in utilizing a depth approach and looking at the whole person within the context of their life, culture, and lineage, as well as the broader culture and social structures that can impinge on our ability to feel fully, and maintain a curiosity about ourselves, how we came to be, and where we consciously want to go. My interventions are collaborative and individualized. I borrow from CBT/DBT, mindfulness, and somatic interventions when appropriate.

I work with anxiety, depression, complex post traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, human giver syndrome, life transitions, divorce/breakup, grief and loss, existential anxiety, isolation, feeling stuck and much more.

The populations I enjoy providing my services to include adults, adolescents, transgender, gender non conforming, non binary, queer, kink, poly, and cis hetero folks. I also enjoy working with therapists as well as other professionals engaged in the helping profession such as nurses and public defenders (for example).
